A light to the people of barnesville and the world at large
City of Light was founded on October 16, 1987 under the leadership of Pastor James O. Lamptey. Pastor Lamptey came as a missionary to Liberia and later joined the Church of God family. He was later assigned to Church of God Barnersville. The church preached the undiluted Word of God but remained a small neighborhood church, called Church of God Barnersville until 1998 when the present Senior Pastor, Bishop John Kun Kun took over.
